Here's what we've been doing in 2012:

Recently an article was published in Forbes Magazine questioning our attempt, as dietitians, to obtain licensure. The article, entitled "Is the American Dietetic Association Attempting to Limit Market Competition in Nutrition Counseling?" garnered the attention of The Academy. March 9th was our annual Spring Seminar, This was our second year to join FWDA, and we were thrilled to work with NTDA for the first time this year. We had record-breaking attendance with nearly 180 attendees. The keynote speaker was the esteemed Cheryl Forberg. She shared with us all the behind-the-scenes information from the Biggest Loser and invited us to make our recipes sizzle. We had amazing speakers: Dr. DiMarco, Jessica Coffee and Nicole Chase, Susan Linke and Debra Hilliard-Jones and Eve Pearson. It was an ecclectic arrangement of topics and dynamics. A big, big thanks to the entire Spring Seminar team, lead by Christina Strudwick. A special thanks to our friends at FWDA and NTDA. It is an honor to work with both of you.
