Primary Responsibilities:
Lead, manage and maintain database of Romano’s nutritional information to fully own the accuracy and timeliness of all information
• Create and implement processes to support the accurate reporting of nutritional information

• Coordinate final lab analyses on approved menu items/product with Silliker Laboratories

• Coordinate Genesis (software program) database updates with Silliker Laboratories
• Develop and maintain archive/filing systems for all nutritional analyses and associated recipe versions

Collaborate and Support Culinary R&D and Marketing Teams:
• Organize and manage nutritional /analyses to support product development efforts
• Coordinate nutritional information updates with Marketing in alignment with menu print schedule and website updates
Collaborate and Support Culinary R&D and Marketing Teams (continued):
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge of nutritional guideline and health code menu copy requirements by state and local municipalities. This includes:
o Follow county, state and federal nutritional legislation proceedings and rulings
o Follow health department codes and requirements for menu legal copy
o Develop streamlined versions of reporting material (nutritional inserts) to reduce expenses and versions of such materials
o Proactively manage Legal requirements by interacting with various municipalities to gain approvals and minimize versions
o Provide timely direction to Marketing, Operations and Communications to ensure supporting material meet Legal requirements
• Provide consultation to Marketing and Culinary teams on nutritional "engineering" ensuring nutritional targets are met while achieving the flavor integrity of menu items

Serve as Brand Ambassador for The Mediterranean Way of Cooking and Nutritional Responsibility:
• Understand The Mediterranean Diet and Nutritional Responsibility on a broad, national and international basis and ensure Romano’s Macaroni Grill is part of the solution and a forerunner in the effort
• Be a credible Romano’s Macaroni Grill spokesperson about The Mediterranean Way of Cooking and Nutritional Responsibility [Exceptionally Flavorful. Remarkably Good For You]. Represent the Brand and ensure Romano’s is portrayed appropriately
• Address the media and interact with them effectively, including interviews, quotes and broadcast appearances

Manage On-going Special Projects and Needs:
• Assist in composing, maintaining and implementing procedures for allergens, gluten-free diets, etc.
• Respond to Guests and Operations Teams regarding Nutrition, dietary and ingredient information including allergens, gluten, sugar, etc.
• Assist in developing and responding to external inquiries on nutritional information including positioning the messaging supporting Public Relations messages
